There was a time when the Cavallina Valley was dotted with mills that harnessed the rushing waters of the Cherio River.
\nNow they have all disappeared except one: the scattered water mill at Grone, which still grinds by harnessing hydraulic and electrical power. <\/p>\n
The good news is that you can visit it and take a closer look at this still well-preserved 1930s wooden structure nestled in a green oasis away from city life.<\/p>\n
Do you know why it is called “of the scattered water”?
\nNear there are springs that dig small channels in the rock and then reach the mill wheel that brings the waters together and doesn’t let them remain “scattered.”
\nFollow the path of these crystalline filaments and you will reach the mill.
