Full of heart and irony. A brilliant directorial debut by actress Greta Scarano, with the theme of autism at its center. Greta Scarano will dialogue with the audience via video link-up at the end of the screening.
Grown-up life is about autism, but not only. It is a film that reaches everyone and everyone precisely because it tells a universal story, that of two adult people who struggle to grow up because they are held back by the fear of failure and of disappointing the expectations of those who want their good.
Irene Nanni (Matilda De Angelis) works in Rome at a company that produces solar panels. Her routine is interrupted by her mother (Maria Amelia Monti) who calls her back home to Rimini to take care of her brother Omar (Yuri Tuci) an autistic man. Irene believes she is very different from her brother and, left alone with him, forces him to take a course to “grow up. “Embarking on this journey with her brother, Irene realizes they have more in common than she thought.
